On Aug. 24, QIIR invited Prof. Juan Jose Palacios Lara, professor at the Department of Political Studies at the University of Guadalajara (Mexico) and the founding chair of the PAFTAD Mexican Committee, to deliver a speech on the topic Assessing the Potential for the Belt and Road Initiative：Economic Integration or International Cooperation?. This speech had an in-depth discussion on the likelihood of China’s Belt and Road initiative for its core objectives.
