[ QIIR Distinguished Scholar Lecture ] Financial Risks in China: How Can They Be Addressed?

On December 17, QIIR invited an influential first generation Chinese economic expert, the Anthony M. Solomon Senior Fellow at the Peterson Institute for International Economics – Dr. Nicholas R. LARDY to express his view on the Chinese financial risks with the topic of Financial Risks in China: How can they be addressed. The guests attended this event includes the Deputy-General Director of the Qianhai Authority Ms. TIAN Min, the President of QIIR professor CHEN Kwan-yiu Edward, the Consul for Economy and Trade Affairs of the British Consulate in Guangzhou Steve ARRICK and leading group of the Qianhai Authority and subsidiaries.
Speaker: Dr. Nicholas R. LARDY, a first generation China expert who knows the Chinese language and has been visiting China regularly since the 1970s. He is one of the most respected and renowned scholars on the Chinese economy. His areas of expertise are Asia, China and transition economies. Dr. Lardy is currently a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and Vice Chair of the National Committee on US-China Relations. He has been at the US congressional hearings several times on the issue of China-United States relations. He provides policy advice to several governments and international economic organizations. Dr. Lardy was formerly a senior fellow of the Brookings Institution, the world's top think tank. Currently, he is the Anthony M. Solomon Senior Fellow at the Peterson Institute for International Economics. He is also a member of International Advisory Council at QIIR.
